Taking a Break

I think I'm getting a little burned out with games. I just don't seem to be as excited for them as I used to. I was excited for GTA IV and I am still having fun with it, but it just seems like everything else coming out this year is just kind of meh. I know it's just me because the games being released I'm sure will be fantastic, I'm just not that excited for them. The only games I'm looking forward to are The Bourne Conspiracy and Alpha Protocol, the latter not coming out until 2009.

So I'm trying to take a break from gaming and do other stuff. I'm not quitting it outright, just taking a break. You may have seen me less and less on Live, or if you have, it was probably my wife or somebody else. I'll be on from time to time whether it's on Live, PSN or playing Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. just not very much.

You'll still hear me on the podcast though. It's just the "what are you playing?" section will be a little awkward.

05/24/2008 01:03:27 I get like that about once every 2 months.. I will not play for weeks then I will go strong again on the list of owned but not played games. Now that its nice out though I will be spending more time with my car and workin on making it what I want it to be. Don't stray to far though bud.

05/21/2008 07:44:22 Heh, i know the feeling Silver, i normally get hooked on one game or system and neglect another, or i will play something so much i get burnt out from gaming in general. Best thing you can do is enjoy the begining of summer, relax, hang out by the pool, beach, desert, ect... Taking up a hobby or a sport is a good way as well, you can always try model building, underwater penny stacking or basket weaving, filming nature, bird watching, ect... Hopefully you will come back from your sabatical with a renewed passion towards gaming. :D

Silver you know with work and a new baby on the way your time is going to get more and more limited. And none of your friends here wont be understanding. You could always be like me and simply pass the what your playing bucks to LordKayne and Ku! And your not going to be shocked to know I have yet to put GTA in. Wii fit will be here tomorrow and thats the reason I will have that for the currently playing hehe. I still play Mario Kart Wii when I get free moments and If you still have not got that game go get it soon! But I am glad your not leaving us for good.

05/19/2008 17:40:21 Nothing wrong with taking a break man - everybody does it. Besides aren't you and your wife expecting in a few months? As far as the Podcast, maybe your section could turn into a "What you should be playing" and give a rundown on the new releases for that week You can even make it cross-platform if you wanted. Well whenever you decide to jump back in I'm sure we'll all still be right here :)
