So, being the flight sim buff I am, I picked up X-Plane 9 today from Best Buy.  I have usually been a Microsoft Flight Simulator user (I've gotten every one since 95) but I had tried X-Plane 2 or 3 many years ago.  I never really got into it because it was so ugly and the scenery was flat with no detail.  Well I played a little bit and 9 is absolutely beautiful.  It is much nicer looking than MSFS has achieved and I get much better framerates (imagine that).  The drawback?  The game comes on 6 discs and is 60GB TO INSTALL!  Now granted, most of this is scenery as the actual game is only 4 or 5GB's.  Obviously, I want the whole world (and out of this world.  Yes, there is space flight.) to explore.  So I purchased it this morning and I am almost done installing everything.

My weekend was so busy I finally got the chance ot sit down and play games today (while X-Plane was installing).  I was really excited to try Bad Company's online play.  But of course, I haven't been able to connect to EA's servers all day.

So, after I get a little X-Plane time in I'll be jumping into something on Live tonight.  I haven't played Team Fortress in awhile...
