Road of eternal twilight

This is a poem I wrote on how I feel that about trying to find a mate. Enjoy!

He who is born in the world alone wanders.

Wanders he does, looking for his opposite as he wanders the
road of eternal twilight.

Less fate allows his whim, he who lives in twilight dusk
walks forever alone on the road.

He looks up at the sky, as the sun embraces the moon and
ponders.

Shakes his head he does, as he continues to walk onto the
path alone.

The daughter of twilight dawn he seeks, always looking,
always anticipating

Yet, as he seeks, it always leads back to his road of
twilight dusk.

He seeks his opposite, the daughter of twilight dawn. He
looks at the road.

Seeing a woman as her shadows embrace the sun, he ponders to
himself if she is the daughter of twilight dawn.

He runs, hoping this is the lady he seeks on his quest for
twilight dawn.

He, who is twilight dusk sees the shadow vanish as he runs
closer, only to hear the voice of the wind blow through his hair.

“Keep searching child of twilight dusk, I will wait for you
in our garden where twilight embraces the sun and the moon.”

The child of twilight dusk looks distraught as he continues
on his path of twilight, searching for his polar opposite, the daughter of
twilight dawn.

He walks the path alone, always pondering if he is fated to
walk this path alone, on this path of emptiness….
