seriously... i just don't have the attention span to maintain them.. got *way* to much other stuff spinning thru my psychoscape.. stuff that has nothing to do with me.. for instance did you know that the idea of using antimatter to power an electric space drive has been proposed? These proposed designs are typically similar to those suggested for nuclear electric rockets. Antimatter annihilations are used to directly or indirectly heat a working fluid, as in a nuclear thermal rocket, but the fluid is used to generate electricity, which is then used to power some form of electric space propulsion system. The resulting system shares many of the characteristics of other electric propulsion proposals (typically high specific impulse and low thrust).  what does this have to do with anything? especially my obsesion with Portal? absolutley nothing, but it's up there and it takes up space... I really need less wikipedia access I think.. You know something else occured to me? A portal gun would not get you out of a closed room unless one of the portals was already in place before you were placed inside? You otherwise just be in a self fashioned tesseract. I mean you could place a portal on a starship and fly it somewhere and then you'd basically have faster than light travel.. hell in fact if you had the ship not travel faster than light but say 99.9% of it "impulse drive" or some such (man i just used treknobabble.. gimme a sec i need some mouthwash)... and technically time would pass slower for the portal on the ship than the relativistically stationary portal and then if you brought it back and placed it next to the original portal it would actually actually be connected to an early point in spacetime so technically if you entered the original portal you would exit the second portal before you entered the first one.. think about it.. if you were to manage to calibrate it so that the difference in their temporal  signature was say one year then everytime you jumped thru youd go back in time a year.. now this creates some messy paradox issues.. such as ok einstein you exit the portal and your one year in the past.. assuming that it took 10 years of relative time for the original portal for the new portal to be sufficiently time lagged to create the anomaly what happens if you travel thru the portal in an attempt to travel back to a time before the exit portal actually existed? prolly just be the opaque blue due to their not being an exit yet but dont confuse me with facts im rambling here... you for that matter you could do it the other way with fewer problems temporaly speaking. Just travel a year into the future each time... buy some stocks.. open a savings account.. maybe some long term bonds.. then pop 30-50 years into the future and close out the accounts.. and play cooler video games.. if they ever come out with matrix style virtual reality games.. you know like that Futurama episode?  yeah.. you're all DOOMED every single last one of you.. I won't spawn camp you tho.. no sport in that. :)
