Capture cards

so, for those of you who have capture cards, or know a lot about them, what ones would you recommend?

What exactly are you planning on using it for? I have different recommendations for different uses (although Haunted's is a good overall card).

I would use it for saving footage from my games onto my computer

Actually the one Matrix suggested was the one I was going to recommend. You can get it in analog if you don't have HD equipment.

plug consoles AV cables to thingie

plug thingie to computer

[though theres a software setup on the computer prior to all this]

The capture card should come with software of some kind.
